The Sealand Survey Centre Training Academy ensures you get the most out of your equipment investment. From a basic introduction to levelling to advanced GNSS processing courses, we can improve your productivity on site and enhance the services you can offer.

Introduction to Levelling

A one day course which will introduce you to the use of an optical level. Learn how to check the accuracy of an instrument before use, take accurate readings, how to book measurements and how to reduce data with associated error checking.

Laser Training

A half day course which will introduce you to rotating (horizontal and grade) and pipe lasers. You will learn how to set each instrument up and use them efficiently on site. You will also be shown how to calculate and enter slope gradients whilst using best site practices. 

Introduction to GPS

A one day hands-on course providing an introduction on how to use a GPS Network Rover. Learn how to perform survey and setting out tasks and how to download data to a PC.

Advanced GPS

Learn how to use a Base and Rover configuration and how to collect static data for post processing with Magnet Office Tools.

Introduction to Robotic Total Stations

Designed to ease the jump from a conventional total station to a robotic unit. Learn how to perform a station setup, survey, set out, and swap to reflectorless measurement – with just one person in the field

Advanced Robotic Total Station Course

During this course you will be shown the more advanced setting out and survey functions of Magnet Field. Learn how to use quick coding, basic Roading, and data import to and from PC software such as Magnet Office

Basic Setting Out

A half day course aimed at users of either conventional or Robotic total stations. Learn how to enter data into Magnet Field and how to setup and perform basic point and line stakeout.  

Magnet Office Software

This course is designed to give you proficiency in the use of Topcon PC based software. By the end you will be able to import data in different formats, add points, lines and offsets, create DTM surfaces and contours as well as generate basic plots and reports

Advanced Magnet Office Software Course

Building upon the content learnt in the introductory course, you will be introduced to creating sections, profiles, 3D viewing, volumes and isopachyte surfaces

Bespoke Survey Training

Courses tailored to your exact requirements can be arranged on any Topcon equipment and software. The agenda will be agreed with you beforehand, ensuring you learn exactly what you need
