History of Sealand
What our customers think of us
“McFour LTD made the decision nearly 2 years ago to utilise machine control for 2 dozers and 3 excavators to aid in the earthworks for a £20 million new link road. We use Sealand for all our survey equipment hire, so they were the obvious choice when it came to retro fitting the machines. All our drivers were offered training to help with the transition and this gave them the confidence to experiment with the options available to them.
We have had many issues over the past 18 months and Sealand have always been readily available to get the machines moving whether this can be done remotely or requiring a site visit.
In conclusion we have saved countless hours on this contract, reduced the people plant interface and given the drivers on site a clearer vision of what we are trying to construct. Sealand have played a huge part in making this transition seamless and we would recommend them to anyone looking to invest in machine control.”

"We at McAuliffe have developed a great relationship with Sealand.
Their quick turnaround with clean, tidy and neat hire kits for our iSeries, xSeries machines and base stations has helped us get up and running in many cases the exact same day!
Simon has been fantastic with his clear communication on the phone and over email always a pleasure to deal with.
Luke and Daisy have always been at the end of the phone or onsite for answers to query’s and helped train us in repairing the machines if a cable or sensor goes down, they both also helped us develop a strong training program for our ops to limit damage and breakdowns to an absolute minimum saving us downtime and repair costs!
Daisy has helped us streamline our site set ups with kits turning up onsite with our support desk + machine files preloaded ready to go out the box, she has also helped us dip our toe into the use of Trimble earthworks with continued support and training.
Scott and Sam have been to our aid many a time with machine installs that are tidy, neat, clearly labelled for all to understand, dropping into sites when we have had serious technical issues with machines and spending the whole day not only diagnosing the issue but providing us with a detailed explanation on what the issue was and what to look out for if we encounter it again saving us downtime in the future!
Ewan and the service team have kept our kits and total stations calibrated, up to date and repaired then back out the door back on-site if not next day, then that week.
Sealands Support for us has been invaluable. Without this we wouldn’t be in the position we are today where breakdowns and repairs are at an all-time low, saving us a fortune.
Credit to Luke and his team!"
