In 2024 we’re seeing all kinds of new technology which is taking the industry by storm! Trimble collaborated with Boston Dynamics to create ‘Spot’ the robot dog for surveying, Leica released a GNSS receiver which features cameras to help simplify applications, and Topcon have released the second version of Sitelink3D – their online remote access and management platform for machine control and field systems.

But in all honesty, what good is the technology if there’s little knowledge behind it? With older practises being taught in schools and universities, people are entering the industry and are completely overwhelmed by the kit they use on site – and in the quick paced environment they work in, are thrown in at the deep end and miss out on a lot of the basics. That’s where we come in!

Although we are multi-branded and can supply equipment from all the leading manufacturers, our training is primarily based on Topcon equipment due to its software being easy to navigate and simple to understand.

At Sealand we’re dedicated to providing product training to help users understand their kit better. Whether its Total Stations, GPS, or Machine Control related training, we’ve got a course to suit you. So, what’s covered?
