Radiodetection CAT4
The Radiodetection CAT4 has four detection modes; power mode, radio mode, genny mode and avoidance mode which simultaneously detects power, radio and genny.
The CAT4 is network rail approved.
Your CAT4 requires calibrating every 12 months.
Other features include signal overload warning. This will appear on the screen when the CAT4 is used in areas where very large power signals are present. You are advised to lift the CAT4 to bring it out of the overload condition or use the CAT in other locations.
The dynamic overload protection function filters out unwanted electrical noise commonly found in and around substations and surface mounted HV cables, these can have an adverse effect on the detection of buried cables.
The signal strength is displayed on the backlit LED screen via a bar graph, audio is also used via the speaker.
