Topcon DL-503 - 28x Magnification, 0.8mm Accuracy using Invar Staff
Incorporating cutting-edge Random-Bidirectional (RAB) coding technology and optimum digital processing algorithm, the DL-500 provides exceptional measurement accuracy, stability, and speed, under a variety of environmental conditions. Even when the staff surface is partially shaded, or in dim lighting conditions as low as 20 lux, one single button triggers measurement and the DL-500 instantly shows reliable results.
Pre-installed measurement programs assist various levelling tasks and accompanied calculations. Internal memory stores the valuable data which can be directly transferred to a computer, eliminating human errors.
Rock-and-Read
DL-500 tracks the RAB Code staff waved back and forth, and automatically reads the correct height. The staff reading becomes the minimum when it stands vertically. The DL-500 automatically finds the least value of staff readings. This world’s first technology allows for error-free readings of waved staffs, while dramatically reducing operator’s eyestrain.
After focusing on the staff, just press one button. The DL-500 will read the height and distance, and store the data. Digital technology eliminates misreading and reduces the operator’s eye fatigue. The DL-500 also has an internal memory that stores up to 2,000 measurements data. The “DL TOOL” software transfers data to a computer in CSV format and is readily available from any Topcon website.
DL-500 Series Staves
Topcon have released a new range of invar, aluminium and wooden bar code staves suitable for use with the Topcon DL-500 digital level series. Designed specifically to be used with the DL-500, the new range of staves feature the RAB (Random-Bidirectional) bar coding technology which enables the level to automatically detect whether it is in the normal position or inverted, as well as enable the ‘rock and read’ functionality.
The new invar staves’ graduations are engraved within the external coating by an interferometrically controlled laser beam, ensuring superior graduation accuracy and edge sharpness. Random graduation errors on the invar staves are less than ±0.005 mm.
