C-Scope DXL4-DBG Standard CAT
The C.Scope DXL4 Cable Avoidance is available to buy in two different models. The DXL4-D which has data logging, depth and strike alert, or the DXL4-DBG which has data logging, depth, strike alert, GPS and Bluetooth. Both models are Network rail approved.
When used with a signal generator or sonde the DXL4 will provide you with a depth measurement accurate to +/- 5% at 1m. It has a range of 0.85m – 4.5m.
The C.Scope DXL4-DGB is backed by C.Scope’s 3 year warranty. It is IP65 rated and is constructed using high impact twin walled plastic.
The signal strength can be heard using the removable loudspeaker or via the LCD screen. The battery status and tracing mode is also displayed on the screen.
The DXL4-DBG Cable Avoidance Tools have full data logging capability, the GPS feature allows a record to be kept of exactly where the locator has been used, this can then be viewed in partnership with Google Maps or Google Earth. A years’ worth of data can be stored, in normal usage, on both the Cable Avoidance Tool, this information can be transferred to a P.C, phone or tablet via USB or Bluetooth. The free to download C.Scope tool kit software analyses the information into charts and graphs illustrating all aspects of usage.
Optimised Locator Sensitivity and Noise Rejection function meaning the DXL4 can deal with the highest levels of background interference found, allowing even the weakest of signals to be detected successfully.
The Dynamic SwingSensor feature alerts the operator if the locator is being swung excessively, eliminating the risk of user error which can compromise the accuracy of any locates.
Simple to use the C.Scope has 4 detection modes; Power, Radio, Genny and all scan to select from.
The Power mode is the quickest way to detect most buries electric cables by detecting the signal created by the electrical current itself.
The Radio mode detects re-radiated radio type signals that are often present on metal pipes and cables allowing their position to be determined using just the cable avoidance tool alone.
The Genny mode is used to detect the signal applied to a metal pipe or cable by a C.Scope SGA4 signal generator. In addition the Genny mode can be used to detect the signal being transmitted by a C.Scope Sonde for non-metallic pipe tracing.
